the situation:
I’m a disabled artist with POTS and chronic migraines. I qualify for federal disability benefits medically, but not financially (if you are married, you cannot have more than $2000 in the bank at any time- our rent is more than that. Disabled people do not have marriage equality.) Because of this, I struggle to make ends meet.
Currently, my spouse is finishing their degree in order to hopefully raise our income from low to middle. Until they graduate (Fall 2026) and get a well paying job, we are living off student loans and odd jobs. This is not enough and we are behind on all our bills. I am currently crowdfunding our rent until the end of the year.
